Aluminu Propellers for Honda Outboard Boat Motor

by fanhuadong 19 Apr 2025

When you’re pushing a Honda BF115D, BF135, BF150 or even up to a BF250D outboard, the right aluminum propeller makes all the difference. We craft a full lineup of 15‑spline, thru‑hub exhaust propellers that deliver outstanding acceleration, crisp hole‑shot performance and reliable top‑end speed—all while keeping your budget intact. Please note: we do not represent Yamaha, Mercury, Suzuki, Volvo or Honda as official OEM suppliers. We simply engineer propellers that bolt right on to their engines.

Why Blade Count, Diameter and Pitch Matter

Every propeller boils down to three core specs:

  • Blades: Three‑bladed units accelerate faster and handle chop more smoothly. Four blades grip water better and improve load‑carrying at lower speeds.

  • Diameter (D): A larger diameter pushes more water per revolution, giving you stronger thrust but increasing drag.

  • Pitch (P): Higher pitch raises your theoretical top speed (each rotation moves you P inches forward), yet demands more torque at launch.

Balancing these three lets you tune your engine to your boat’s weight, hull design and typical load—whether you tow skiers, cruise with family or race across open water.

Legend:
• “—” indicates no specific OEM or Part Number; it fits any 15‑spline thru‑hub Honda lower unit.
• “Rotation” lists right‑hand (R) or left‑hand (L) spin.
• “Special” bores (e.g., 381×381) match certain mid‑size exhaust hubs.

Picking Your Perfect Prop

  1. Lightweight Boats & Solo Runs

    • Go with a 3‑blade, moderate diameter (14"–15") and middle‑range pitch (17"–19"). You’ll enjoy snappy throttle response and solid top‑end speed.

  2. Heavier Loads & Multi‑Passenger Cruising

    • Try a 4‑blade design. The extra blade lifts you out of the hole faster and keeps power in the mid‑range. A 15" diameter with 13"–15" pitch typically works wonders.

  3. Big‑Water Challenges & Deep‑V Hulls

    • Larger diameters (15 1/4"–16") with higher pitch (19"–23") deliver stronger bite and maintain planing at higher speeds. Make sure you match the bore size if your exhaust hub requires it.

Expert Tips & Real‑World Insights

  • Fine‑Tune by Fraction
Even a quarter‑inch change in pitch can transform your ride from “choppy” to “champion.” If you feel your boat bogging under load, step down 1–2 inches of pitch. If you’re spinning out of gear, bump the pitch up a notch.

  • Mind Your Gear Ratio
Honda’s BF115D–BF250D engines pair with various lower‑unit ratios. Confirm your gear ratio before ordering a high‑pitch prop—otherwise, you might starve the engine for RPM.

  • Rotation Matters
Twin‑engine setups often require counter‑rotating props (one R, one L) to balance torque steering. We carry left‑ and right‑hand models throughout our series.

Whether you’re carving wakes or just savoring a lazy weekend ride, our aluminum propeller range puts you in control. Browse the table above, chart your course, and feel every ounce of power Honda offers—without breaking the bank. If you need help matching a specific model or deciphering your lower‑unit spec, drop us a line. We’re boaters, too, and we love geeking out over props!
